Mamma Maria`s Italian Restaurant in Tobyhanna

Ordered a chicken cheesesteak wrap with lettuce and ranch dressing. Paid almost $10 for a wrap that was a child's serving and filled maybe half of the styrofoam container it was in, I'd imagine for the normal sub, was missing the lettuce and not even chips for $10. Between the small size and being made wrong, very dissatisfied!

Great food, awesome service. Both waitresses were a lot of fun. Came here twice in 2 days. Wish we weren't from out of town. Don't miss this place

This is some of the best food around. My gyro was the best I've had since I left Germany in 1992. The staff is wonderful, taking pride in making sure you have a delightful meal. Thanks Kathy!!

Very friendly the pizza is very good

The food is cooked to order but it's not very flavorful. I also watched the lady at the register touch ring orders/collect payment, touch food and wipe down the counter and never once wash her hands. That's just too unsanitary for my liking. My order was a cheese steak steak sub, that was really well put together, just unseasoned.

The best grandma style pizza I've ever had. The typical NY-style slices were also legit, but that grandma cut was unreal.

Lovely Italian restaurant. Very good portion and tasty. Price is very reasonable. No complaints, everything seems to be freshly made.

We eat here several times a month, this past week we have ordered 3 times spending close to a 100$ each time, every time they say 20-30 minutes and then when I get there they say another 20 minutes LOVE THEIR FOOD! But wish they were honest with their wait time so I don’t load up three kids all being crazy in the car for more time! Expensive but LOVE their food and it’s so convenient!

Just doing a 10hr reset but wanted some home cooking. Had to get it to go, fast friendly service reasonable priced . Will stop in the next time I have a run up here. I'm not Italian but I can sure eat like one.

Love this place. Food is really good. Pizza is excellent. They have a nice size menu. Kids meals, beef patties as well as all sorts of Italian dishes. Very clean place. Best part are the owners, they are wonderful people, treating people like family. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

This is my go to place for a consistent N. Y. C. Pizza. The price is also consistent, unlike another shop I know. As a bonus they also have a small but appreciated Veterans discount.

Really good food! Pizza is amazing, sandwiches are delicious, appetizers are tasty. Garlic is prevalent in everything they produce, that is not a had thing. A little out of the way but definitely worth the trip. A bit pricey for the portion size but they make up for it with flavor.

Delicious food. Portions are pretty huge too. Can't go wrong when you pick Mamma Maria's Italian restaurant. The marinara sauce is on the money! Dinners are amazing in portion quality and price. I definitely recommend you make this a go to spot if you are a local or if you come to the beautiful pocono mountains for a visit. Enjoy your meal. And safe travels.

Old school Italian, great food, large portions and excellent service.

Every chance I get when I go to the Poconos, this is my go to spot for delicious Italian food. I even suggest Mamma Maria's to the guests that stay at my lakehouse. The selection is great and the prices are very reasonable. The pizzas, pastas and stromboli are my family's favorites. Everything is homemade and made to order so you know you are getting the freshest food. The staff are very friendly. Our waitress, Christina, is the best. She's welcoming and sweet, makes sure that customers are taken care of and is very patient.Don't take my word for it. Stop on by yourself for a meal you won't forget!

Wow, what can you say about this place. The food portions are outrageous and they are very reasonably priced. The medium stromboni could have fed all four of us. The pizza crust was spot-on, as was the mix of the pepperoni Peppers mushrooms and mozzarella. If you wanna sweet and competent server, Roxy is your girl! She was a lot of fun and very personable. I would definitely come back to this place the next time we are traveling in the Poconos.

We were visiting for a weekend and this was an easy carryout option for us.

Have been a loyal customer even through the new owners taking over. Their pizza and meals were always superb, until recently! Wanted the veal marsala and was told sorry out of marsala! Ok got the mussels in white wine sauce and a glass of white wine. The wine was warm, had not been refrigerated and the meal was so salty it was uneatable!!! Was told it was made with “salty” wine!!!! Wine is not salty!!! Then told they used “cooking wine”!!! Will not be going back and that’s sad 😢

So good I ate it before I could take a pic. I live in the area and I like comparing all places to eat on how good it taste,price,service etc. Mamma is in my top 3. The food taste is like when you go to your grand mama's house and you wait all week for her home cooked meal cause she's that good of a cook. The lasagna is that good. Go and Enjoy.

Second time there and second time pizza was great. Thin crust but not wet or saggy, nicely browned edges, right amount of cheese and sauce as well as fresh veggies. I will not bring my pizza from Brooklyn anymore, they have my business even though they are 20 min ride for me. Very pleasant staff as well.

Grandma pie, although lacking the traditional basil topping, was delicious. Friendly servers and fair prices. Would recommend if your looking for decent pizzeria type food!

Old school. Dont let the cheesy outside look fool you. Sweet accommodating staff. Great crust. Just crispy enough. Not over chewy.

Well Vinny's is out of business again so I just tried mamma Maria's for the first time ! And I'm glad we did! ( Lived here 15 years and never tried mamma Maria's) we got a pizza and an order of calamari and both were very good, the reason I tried to this place is after reading all the great reviews one review said the taste is close to new park pizza! ( Been going to new park pizza in Queens for 35 years and still one of my favorites) will definitely be back !
